Do you ever stop to think about where the coffee you drink every day actually comes from?

Most large coffee companies blend beans from multiple farms and regions to create a uniform, consistent flavor. While consistency makes production easier, it often comes at the expense of something incredibly important — the farmers themselves.

Many small farms producing extraordinary coffee never receive the recognition or fair compensation they deserve. The unique flavors created by specific regions, elevations, and farming methods are often lost in large commercial blends.

And yet, these single-origin and microlot coffees are often the highest quality beans in the world.

At Crema Lux, my mission is simple:

To discover exceptional microlots from small coffee farms and bring those beans directly to the United States so people can experience coffee the way it was truly meant to taste.

But this journey is about more than coffee.

It’s also deeply personal.

My family roots trace back to Colombia — a country known for producing some of the finest coffee in the world. My grandparents were coffee farmers in the mountains near Jericó, and over time those farms were lost as generations passed and Colombia changed.

For most of my life, that history existed only as stories.

Now I’m going back.

I’m connecting with Colombian farmers, working with honest importers who believe in supporting small producers, and building relationships with the people who dedicate their lives to growing incredible coffee.

Because coffee isn’t just a crop.

It’s a livelihood.
It’s a culture.
And for many families, it’s their legacy.

The workers on these farms — the pickers, growers, and processors — are the heart and soul of the coffee production process, and they deserve recognition and fair opportunity for their work.

Through Crema Lux, I hope to help sustain these farms while sharing their extraordinary coffees with people who truly appreciate quality.

This is more than a business.

It’s a journey to reconnect with my Colombian heritage and rebuild a small piece of my family’s history — refined, stronger, and built to last for generations to come.
